About

Linda has observed a transformative journey in her artistic practice over the years. Initially engaged in crafting purely decorative images across various media, Linda's evolution has led her to create more purposeful pieces that articulate her perspectives on critical social issues. Among the themes she explores are women's health, childhood adversity, mental wellness, and her own personal history.

The ceramic booties featured in the banner pay homage to the 1 billion children worldwide facing adversity at the hands of others and through no fault of their own, shedding light on this significant societal challenge.

Beyond individual creations, Linda has had the privilege of contributing to various public spaces, including the Proserpine Hospital, the Whitsunday Counselling Centre, and other locations. The experience of working on larger murals has not only expanded her artistic skills but has also compelled her to delve deeper into the profound meaning and relevance her artwork holds within the spaces they occupy.

As a founding member of CCW, Linda enthusiastically embraces the role of inspiring and supporting others in their artistic endeavours. To her, the act of creation is a universal pursuit, devoid of competition, and centred around the spirit of collaboration. Linda's dedication to fostering a collaborative artistic community reflects her belief that art is a powerful and accessible means of expression for everyone.
