Balena

Balena (the Italian word for whale) is a photograph of a curious humpback whale calf playfully spinning around the ocean’s surface. Photographed while swimming alongside this gentle giant, as its mother rested below, keeping a watchful eye. Deeply moved by this incredible interaction, and by the trust and ease that mother and calf displayed towards us, encompasses the theme ‘Tides of Connection’.
