Humphead Harmony

Schools of giant humphead parrotfish sleep resting on the bottom at night. In the half light of early morning when the tide is suitable they gather together over a favoured coral head and reconnect to other school members by drifting slowly around for some time almost touching each other. I came across this impressive school during a dawn dive on the Great Barrier Reef.
