Rainy Day Melaleucas

Melaleuca swamp forests grow near to the sea where I live. I painted them in misty rain that seemed to make these tree shapes morph and diffuse and colours deepen and sadden. They have a symbiotic relationship with the reef by providing a nursery for aquatic organisms. They also buffer impacts of floods and storms before they reach the reef.
