The Chameleon Parrotfish couple swim over the coral while changing colours, using specialised skin cells coupled with nerve and hormonal signals. The process takes mere seconds with the bright male leaving only blue to remain over a white belly, and the female revealing patterns in her skin. Layered multiple still photographs create a freezeframe of the wonders beyond the beauty of the reef.
