Beche De Mer challenges traditional ideas of beauty in nature. Sea slugs are often overlooked or viewed as strange yet they contain intricate patterns, vibrant colours and an important purpose, to remove organic waste. This sculpture encourages viewers to look beyond first impressions and recognise beauty, wonder and value within the unusual , fragile and unexpected parts of the natural world.
