Coiled Basketry with Pine Needles

Re-forming a life stitch by stitch to encompass a vacuum left by loss. A simple rhythm of winding on thread, placing one stitch then another and allowing the pine needles to bend and flex creates joy in the movement of the coil. I want my little vessel to fly so form wings and add beads to catch the sunlight. All of a sudden my empty space becomes a beautiful stingray leaping with joy and life.
