Some things are more than beautiful, they are rare and ancient. As an iconic species of our oceans, the whale shark symbolises mystery and peace, with its rare appearance in the Great Barrier Reef adding to its wonder. In this work, I used Prismacolor pencils to create the rich colour and light, capturing the calm beauty and mystery of the world beneath the surface - a world beyond beauty.
