Over the past 30 years I have been blessed to call the Whitsunday region my home, and absolutely love all that it offers both above and below the surface. I am so impressed with the footage taken by marine biologist, Johnny Gaskell, in particular his use of a drone to capture a variety of stunning species and locations. His image of 15 Eagle Rays taken from above the surface of them just below felt the perfect fit for this theme: Eagles are known as birds that fly above, but Eagle Rays fly below. I just love the perspective of this shot taken directly above them, and the layered effect that is given by them flying amongst each other at different depths. And so, with Johnny’s permission, came “Fly Like an Eagle”.
