Polpo

Below the surface, the striking and mysterious octopus is mesmerising. A majestic creature with 3 heats, I am drawn to their sensitivity and complexity. ‘Polpo’ expresses the graceful movement, quiet intelligence, and curiosity of the octopus. Stippled ink dots created with fine tip pens were used to capture the detail and intricacy of this creature. Inspired by my experiences underwater at the Great Barrier Reef, I invite the viewer to be transported underwater where we can feel a sense of calm and tranquillity.
