The Plan
Stage 1: Close in the Veranda

We’re planning to turn the veranda from a breezy, open space into a fully usable, weatherproof indoor room. This will almost double the gallery’s floor area and give us a bigger, more flexible space for workshops, community catch-ups, quiet reflection, or just a place to relax and enjoy the creative atmosphere. Closing it in will also help with sound and weather protection, making it much more practical and comfortable all year round.

Of course, a renovation like this doesn’t come cheap. To do it properly, we’ll need qualified builders, council approvals, and all the right safety checks. It’s a big step, but an important one — and with your support, we can make it happen and create a space the whole community can enjoy for years to come.

What then?
Stage 2: Fit-Out and Activation
Once the veranda is enclosed, Stage 2 is all about getting the space ready to use. This includes adding flooring, lighting, and display systems so we can host exhibitions and run creative workshops.

We’ll also bring in the practical things — tables, chairs, shelves, and a small welcome area — plus basic tech for presentations and security. A few finishing touches like better airflow, signage, and accessibility features will help make the space comfortable and welcoming for everyone.

By the end of this stage, the gallery will be ready to open its doors and start bringing people together through art and creativity.
