Whale song

Observe the power of a breaching humpback whale. Be in awe of its power of greatness, it’s strength of purpose, and it’s over riding spectacle of beauty. For me, painting is a powerful tool that allows me to explore all these concepts. Through my exploration of the natural world, I can observe and through painting endeavour to record the mystery that unfolds before me. In this instance the world “above and below the surface” of the ocean surrounding the Whitsunday Islands. My preferred medium is oils paints which blend beautifully with the ocean.
