Community Gallery's inaugural People's Choice Award

We're delighted to announce that Linda Forrester is the winner of our very first Bendigo Community Bank People's Choice Award at the Creative Connections Whitsundays Community Gallery.

Voting commenced on our 4 June 2026 Opening Night and continued throughout the Gallery's first exhibition cycle, with visitors casting their votes for their favourite artwork.

Linda's beautiful fine art print, Radiant Depths, was the clear favourite.

Many visitors commented on the beautiful way Linda captured the sunlight filtering down through the water from the surface above, illuminating the reef below. The striking colours and beautiful play of light created a scene that resonated with so many people who visited the Gallery.

Linda receives a $200 People's Choice Award, proudly sponsored by Bendigo Community Bank Cannonvale-Proserpine.

We are incredibly grateful for the Bank's ongoing support of our Gallery and their commitment to recognising and celebrating local artists.

Congratulations, Linda, on a well-deserved award, and thank you to everyone who visited the Gallery and took the time to vote.
