CCW is planning an exciting program of workshops at the Community Gallery and we're inviting artists and creatives to register their interest in becoming workshop facilitators.

If you’ve driven along the Bruce Highway through Proserpine recently, you may have noticed something a little different across the road from the Community Art Gallery. The palm trees have been transformed with bold, colourful artworks as part of Colour the Whitsundays, a public art project designed to bring art into everyday spaces and show just how much fun art can be.

If you treat your art career like a living, breathing garden — constantly tending, pruning, and replanting — you’ll find that success grows naturally from your consistent care.

When news broke that Whitsundays photographer Shane Batham is suing Hamilton Island Gallery for allegedly using his work without permission, it caught the attention of artists and locals alike. The dispute isn’t just about one case—it shines a spotlight on the broader issue of copyright, and why respecting it matters for every artist, whether in our backyard or across the globe.
